I was at a pawn shop that hasn't had silver coins in a while. This time there was only one coin and it was a 1900 Morgan dollar (New Orleans) that looked slightly cleaned and would probably grade "Fine". It was priced at $25, so I asked the cashier what was the lowest she could sell it for, and she said she had to ask the manager. She showed him the coin and after he spoke to her, she told me $12! I couldn't say no to such a deal so I took it. I will post a picture later today.

Lowered the price by more than 50%, that's what I call a great buy!
Congrats.

That means the pawnbroker probably paid $5 for it.

It'd be even better if it's a 1900-O/CC ... as long as the CC doesn't represent a Chinese Counterfeit! Many pawn brokers and their employees don't know how to spot a counterfeit, altered coin or unmarked copy.

Wow, I wish the pawn shops I've been to in my area have been that wonderfully generous on their silver prices! I'd be grinning ear to ear!
