Just curious if this is a die chip or a doubled portion of the ear. Thanks for the help.

In the first picture, It almost looks similar in shape to that faint piece above the purple circle.

The blue arrows show the area I think could be doubled.

Coin appears to be so badly damaged that who knows.

If the area you marked is flat, then it is just a discoloration on the plating. If it were raised, then it would be a die issue. Looks flat to me.
