I found a 1921 Morgan dollar on the fairway of a golf course 3-4 years ago. Someone was bummed!
Whoa! I've given my buddies that golf Ike dollars, they use them for ball markers.

Every year since 2010 I always gathered my change I found on the ground, coinstar, in machines, etc.

Last year I threw everything in a bag and ended up getting something like $19.89 so I just rounded it to $20 since there were probably coins I didn't put in the bag and/or counted coins I didn't actually PICK up but my eyes saw them, haha! I ended up buying a silver round last year for $20. Not terrible.

This year I'm up to something like $2#.##, around there. I also have a boatload of silver dimes I've found at coinstars since this was the year I got my license (May of 2015) and basically have been driving all over the place since.

Just now I found a 2009 Peruvian Nuevo Sol on my way to the metro (writing this on the metro). At first I was hoping it to be a silver 1 krona again

Nah, it probably fell out of someone's pocket since the change was scattered throughout the concession stand area, and the 10 dollar bill was off to the side and crumpled up so I can see why no one noticed it.

Believe or not, I found a small fourth century AD Roman bronze coin in a parking lot about fifteen years ago. Granted, it was the parking lot of my local coin store, so that may explain it, but I did find it.

Otherwise, several Christmases ago I found a folded up fifty dollar bill in the parking lot of our local Best Buy store.

My daughter and I found .36 cents at Walmart tonight. Nothing special but it made her piggy bank a little heavier.

Remind me to use an Ike as a ball marker when I play golf against you, jbuck.

I usually don't pay much attention to coins on the ground. I will pick them up but they wind up in the piggy bank. I did notice this poor little guy in the parking lot of a hardware store the other day and he looked so pathetic I decided to give him a safe home. Poor Abe, I hope he will be alright.
