1847 Braided Hair, Newcomb N-11, R.4, EAC 45/40, nicks and a hit on the reverse. Thanks for sharing it with us.

I'm sure that's correct on a net EAC basis, but straightforward it looks about AU-53 to me.

EAC VF35 Net VF25, on the obverse there is significant wear on hair above the ear and the curls on the neck, and, wear on the cheek hits, on the reverse there is a lot of flatness to the leaves. Also this coin has been cleaned and recolored as is obvious by the red splotches underneath the greenish brown patina especially noticeable on the lower obverse. I don't know how to grade commercially so I don't know the commercial grade. All in all a nice coin!

Look at N-11's and compare.
