Look at the leaves on the branch and how their almost under the wreath. No way even a 1/3 of the way reputable dealer would tell them it's worth "a few hundred dollars".

That very well could be fake. That looks like a Variety III, which is worth over 10,000 dollars in the condition that he described it. Is that a frosting spill around the devices? I don't get it, it's not even a Cameo coin.
If it is real, it's obviously buffed.
