JimNWLincoln Pillar of the Community United States 910 Posts	Posted 12/22/2015 12:06 am Greetings coinsandcoffee - in regards to counterfeit 1909-s vdb - read/search through the posts for "Counterfeit 1909 s vdb" to review the pictures of suspect coins. Included in these posts are references to date and mint mark font style and locations on coin, issues with coin reverse and general look of the coin. When searching for coins on ebay, you can sort by highest cost first and look at the expensive certified coins to get a feel of how a nice coin example should look. As you work your way down to the least expensive coins, you will spot coins that do not look real, have incorrect date font for year of issue, misplaced mint marks and other coins that do not look right.
