the last pic is a die clash, the dies hit eachother and left design elements on eachother. what you have question marked is the C and S from CENTAVOS.

i think bob levi meant "nice one"

i believe he means that the force of the dies hitting eachother could have caused those cracks. this sounds very beleivable, the dies were very possibly cracked from just the age of the dies aswell, they were very overused which is evidenced by the major die wear(sun burst look) lines which came to be from alot of use.
