You most certainly should send this to PCGS (or NGC). Even if it does come back 58, it's still a great coin. I think there is a chance it will grade MS, as I don't see any of the obvious top device rub typical of the first circulation for this issue.
The ONLY thing that would concern me is what looks like granularity in the field to the right of the entire seated Liberty. This might be toning, as it's tough to tell, even with your nice photos, but I'd look at that carefully to see if there are any areas that appear to be RAISED above the field. If not, then I think you have a clear shot at no details and maybe the elusive MS, which would make your $900 buy a steal!

The "granularity" to the right of Liberty is toning, which kind of looks strange to me. Can coins actually tone like this without alterations (cleaning, dipping, etc.)? This is the first I've seen this kind of spotted toning.

I love the strike on the coin also, but have some concerns that it may have been cleaned in some way. What I really would like to know is what you used to take the pictures of the coin, they are excellent.

jmgi, I used a Canon 5d Mark II with 24-70mm macro lens. I dropped the coin off at a dealer, who will drop it off at PCGS when they go to the FUN show. Now the waiting begins!

My first thought when seeing photo was its been cleaned but having said that who cares if your happy and intend to keep - then just keep it, don't worry and be happy ....
If intent is to sell then by all means grade it and it it comes back with detail grade at least you will know .....
Whichever happens it won't take way from what a nice strike!

I forgot to mention that the dealer told me similar things to what you all said. He said it could be MS, could be AU, might be cleaned, etc. He had another one of the numismatists from the shop take a look and he joked saying it might grade "AU 62"
