Almost but not quite to full Very Fine, but darned close. However, this coin has OUTSTANDING eye appeal with the cameo appearance of the dark fields and lighter design elements. I also think $39 was a steal of a price for a choice looking lady. Congratulations!

VF-20 details. That is a significant gouge. I didn't see it the first time, meaning the pictures did a good job of hiding the damage.

I had to do a double take on the coin to see the gouge that TypeCoin was talking about. VF details.

VF-Details. Other than that it looks like a nice coin. Probably still worth what you paid despite the damage IMO.
