What do you think? I can't find a match on the no-no site, but I see raised dots on the surfaces. The seller has two other large cents and two small cents with the same appearance. I'm 99.99% sure it is fake.

Looks fake. Appears to be a lot of raised bumps on the obverse.
Rest in Peace

As you've mentioned, he has LOTS of other fakes, too. He includes the US, Roman Republic, other ancient, World coins, and medals and medallions. He's a one stop shop for your needs in fakes.

100% counterfeit. On a scale of 1 to 10 where 10 is undetected by everyone (they do exist for a while...1798 1C), this must be at least a 6 judging by the comments. IMO It is a 2 for the TPG's and any LC dealer/collector who is knowledgeable. You guys nailed it! nice looking coin but too many pimples; crude date. I wish it were mine as this should fool many in an authentication 101 class who were not experienced dealers.

That's interesting...I never heard of a "private listing" on ebay. I wanted to view all of his stuff.

Pure junk! Not even close to being a good replica. Only the uneducated would miss.

On the 1855 KNOB EAR Large Cent he's selling, the date is out of position. The 5 should be barely touching the curl, and this one is way into it.

Yep, everything he has is fake, sadly.
