Neat theme.

By the way, in English, it's normally "the Middle Ages", plural. "Middle age" is a person 30 to 50 years old.

I prefer the term "Mediaeval" (spelled with or without the first "a"), to remove all ambiguity.
Don't say "infinitely" when you mean "very"; otherwise, you'll have no word left when you want to talk about something really infinite. - C. S. Lewis

Yep - I was looking down the list and thinking that the guy on the fourth coin looked pretty young. It didn't occur to me that we were talking 'middle ages' until I read the first reply.

But, perhaps of more concern, I was thinking 'sounds interesting collecting coins with images of people in middle age'.

I was thinking exactly the same thing as John! Middle aged people! As I got to coin 2 I thought it was definitely on, then I got to coin 4 and twigged. Made me smile.

I would think you could collect a lot of coins with old people on, probably not that many with children though?

Either way The middle Ages is much more interesting. Is it just people or do you go for buildings as well? There are some fantastic coins with castles on.

Hehe, in German the Moyen Age is the Mittelalter - singular as well. As for coins, Lithuania issued a series of Historic Rulers a while ago. May be interesting for you ...
