Came across this nickel dollar over the holidays and it has some little craters on the obverse and reverse . Have a look and tell me what you think about this coin please.

Looks like post-mint corrosion... or "nickel cancer" as Pacificoin likes to call it...

Very coincenegenic. Usually resulting in a long torturous death for the planchet. Treated with radio isotopes the planchet will often glow in the dark. , , .

Oh my gosh T1Steel your nickel dollar looks like a close cousin of the family that I deposited in the bank a few months ago. Sadly, yes a fatal case of nickel cancer resulting from spending most of their life inside a plastic bag inside a little cloth sack. The PCV of the plastic bag eventually turned to green gunk which literally ate into the metal. They were much too far gone to treat with acetone alas the crematorium (ARP). Moral of the story - never stash away coins in a plastic bag, in such a good hiding place that you forget where you put them:-(
