I may have missed this information - if so, please point me in the right direction.
If not: Please tell us newbies what the various forum member titles are, what they mean, and the qualifications required...such "Pillar"; "Bed Rock'; "Forum Dad", etc
I also see here and there that so many "quality points" are required to be able to do this or do that. Can you give us a breakdown explanation list please?
Is a quality point equivalent to a quality post?

First of all To the forum Mom and Dad are the founders and owners of this forum. A bedrock is a member that has been here for ages and has thousands of posts. A Pillar member has a thousand posts or more. A quality post is just that, not a Oh nice or well done OK. I hope this answers some of your questions They haven't got a "cantankerous Old Fart" title yet , But if they do I am up for it

Thanks Trout - we'd both be in close competition for COF...
it will take years for me to reach bedrock....mainly because I know so little about coins relatively to say much...
I wonder what other intelligent species in the universe think about us humans going nuts over little pieces of copper, bronze, tin, aluminum, silver, gold, platinum, nickle, brass, and who knows what else? (wood?)
What if we were inhabitants of certain south sea isles which used shares of a large round stone as currency....what would we collect?

In that case, I think we would still find something to collect.
In the times I was not collecting coins, I collected bottlecaps, business cards, almost anything I could get my hands on that could be grouped or strung together to form a reason behind it.
I'm surprised I don't have a bucket in which I collect exactly one of each type and size of screw. See my 1 1/4 wood screw, this is my 1 1/2 metal screw, look, this one is a bolt...oh gee, I just might.
Welcome!

Forum Mom and Dad = Founders of the Forum Admin = Forum Administrator Moderator = Forum Moderator CCF Press = Coin Week (?) representative that posts numismatic articles on the forum. Bedrock of the Community = >10,000 posts Pillar of the Comminity = >500 Posts Valued Member = >50 Posts New Member = <50 Posts
I'm hoping that there will be a Foundation of the Community at 5,000 posts at one point or another.

COTW, 2-3 more months? I was looking at old posts I commented on yesterday and you had a contest for 2000 post like 2-3 months ago... At this rate you'll be a bedrock in 2-4 months

A few members have mentioned some title for 5,000 QPs.
There does appear to be substantial gap between a 500 QPs "Pillar of the..." and 10,000 QPs "Bedrock of the..."
Suggestion:
Perhaps someone reaching 5,000 QPs might be called a "Plinth of the community"?
(between the pillar & the bedrock....)
