Just received an email with info on the collection case that will be sent to some MC.

"Good things come in stunning packages!

We're very excited to inform you that, as a Masters Club member, you will soon receive a beautiful collection case in which to collect and display up to 24 coins. Finely crafted of solid wood and polished to a glowing sheen, the case is inlaid with a sleek silver Masters Club monogram. It also features special sleeves designed to store and protect your coin certificates, so you can store and display your coins and certificates in a single place.

The Masters Club premium collection case is reserved exclusively as a free gift for a select few members of the Masters Club (like you!).

Enjoy your collection case!"

But seeing the dealer markdowns of NCLT, is it really worth it? I don't think so.

This is right.
The Silver MC spends at RCM $1000 (this is basic) and will not get it.
Means, need to spend 1500 - 2000?

Better, just to buy the case or similar for CAD 100.
Even for $200 on ebay, if someone need the " RCM branded"

I'm looking forward to it. However, like others, I'll be greatly reducing my 'direct from the mint' purchases over the new year. We'll see what's in the offering next year.

I hope the RCM will get the message with most of the larger dealers having major discounts, small trinkets barely makes up for lost values.

Just received the same email based on purchases middle of last year.
Haven't purchased anything since so my Platinum M/C goes away in June.
No free gift for me next year. No great loss. :)

You need to spend at least $2000 to become a Platinum MC. Then you get the free case.

To get the free coin, the ugly goose coin, you need to spend $5000 to become a Platinum Plus MC.

It really comes down to whether you want to spend $2000 a year to get the free case or spend $5000 to get the free coin and case.

Its not too hard to reach the Platinum level if you just buy the x for x coins. Ten $100 and Five $200 will get you there. Buying anything besides the x for x coins just to maintain MC status is not worth it since you can get the majority of RCM coins for a discount a few months later.

I received the same email. Like others have commented on here probably won't be renewing my Master Club status next year. Haven't bought anything in 6 months and don't plan on spending any money at the RCM this year. Agree with other posts that these coins are losing their value. Not worth investing any money and losing most of it.
