Indeed it is Ottoman Egypt, denomination 10 qirsh, similar to this one on WCG only with a later date. The one on WCG is dated 1293 Year 11 (= AH 1303 = AD 1885/6). Yours is dated 1327 Year 3 (= AH 1329 = AD 1911).

The obverse) is normally regarded as the side that names the ruler. The ornate squiggly thing (called a "toughra") on your lower picture (#1230) is the Sultan's signature. The WCG pics show it right-way-up.

The ones I've seen look more like this:

What-Coin-Is-This-You-Super-Sluths?

I have some questions regarding this coin's authenticity, and if I saw it on ebay I would probably report it as suspicious and start a thread about the seller here on this website.

Thanks guys. Mine looks, weighs like KM # 309 10 Qirsh.

The thing is, I bought 10 30 pound bags of silver coins. Most are no brainer but so far, I have found about 45 fakes like the Hungarian 1938 FIVE Pengo that is 5 grams light.(A 1 of 50 issue if real)
I am really loving going through this batch and have founf some incredible coins.
As soon as I get enough posting credits here, I will offer some of the duplicate fakes for near nothing.
