I was viewing recent sales of nclt coins and some coins as recent as 2014 are near half off. Also not all are from dealer sales either. I don't understand why some collectors buy the new coins, only to sell at a loss on ebay. When I buy a coin its going to sit in the collection a long while. unless I bought it to flip. A curious listing was by someone in BC, who sold 3 $100 coins for $250 and $12 ship. They would of done better at the bank. They also sold 2 $200 coins for $300. one has to wonder how long they will remain a collector with these losses. These were both best offer listings too. I've seen this with other private sellers, listing almost current releases at losses almost week after week. I just don't understand.

It was nice to see the ghost bride coin fetch $69, a welcome change from the depressed prices. Have others noticed any other strange things on ebay. There are many things I see that has me scratch my head and wonder why.

The loss is even greater when fees are calculated.
However, an answer to the main question is they - the seller - needs some quick cash or they're too lazy/or don't know the bank process.

I don't believe the $XX for $XX really represents NCLT coins overall..

As stated many times in this and other forums ebay clientele do strange things some times. Me included.

What always struck me as odd was when an item at auction would go for more than the lowest BIN price for the same thing. It only takes a few more seconds to run the search, sort by price and figure out at what point to stop your bids and switch over to grab the BIN instead. The emotions or entertainment value of winning the auction? Laziness? Ignorance?

I am a small dealer and I can write asset depreciation and inventory costs against my income. In the past two years, with the RCM market flooding, depressed silver prices, and ongoing economic turbulence in Canada ... I am managing to break even with my business. Just finished my current year end taxes, and 2015 ends with $14k loss on $287k in revenue. Biggest problem is that inventory is not moving out the door. My Canadian sales are almost dried up, with U.S. buyers accounting for 80% of sales. Low dollar is the only bright spot when selling to US buyers, however cost to ship to them is insane.
