I'm interested in buying a nice big batch of Kennedy halves--perhaps between 50 and 100 of them.

Dates not important, condition not important. Copper-clad is fine.

Just wondering if someone can tell me a good way to go about doing this, at the lowest price possible. Thanks!

Do you mean something other than going to a bank and
ordering a 1000 coin box, $500 for $500.

I roll search halves and would ship you any amount you want at face value plus shipping/delivery confirmation/insurance cost. 50-100 coins would be no problem, I search through 6000 coins weekly. A small priority box would probably hold 300-500 coins and would cost I think about $6. shipping plus insurance and delivery confirmation. If you want a larger quantity your best bet is go to your local bank and ask them to order you however many boxes you want, $500 per box. Some banks require an order of minimum of 2 boxes. If you want me to send you some send me a PM and we'll work out the payment details.

Go to bank you have an account with and ask the teller manager if they can order you a box just don't dump at the same bank. A lot of banks order boxes for customers all you have to do is ask

I often ask for Kennedys at my bank and most of the time they tell me they don't have any.

I haven't asked them to order them for me, though. I'll try that and see if they can do that. (RC, let me see what happens.) Thanks!

I haven't searched halves in bulk like many others have, but when I first got interested in CRH, I would go to a ton of banks and be lucky to get a handful at a time.. I had good luck with obtaining silver, but couldn't get volume to search that way... I finally called a few Bank of America branches and found one that always has a box on hand. They didn't seem to like when I'd go and take their entire box each time, so I'd go for $100-200 at a pop... From my experience I think it's the banks with more traffic and maybe even the central branch for the area that regurarly has them on hand. At the particular branch I found them at, the only person that could go get them for me was the head teller and she'd prefer I call in advance so she'd have them ready for me to cut down on time (busy location)

All my banks would not hesitate to order boxes of coin if I asked.
So easy, a caveman could do it.

I bank at TD Bank and occasionally they will have some loose halves at the desk. I got about 2 boxes of pennies from there and they quickly put a stop to that. I then asked if they would order me boxes and they said no because I don't own a business. I'm sure they know exactly what I'm doing with the boxes lol.

Nickytort I would tell them I'm moving my account and actually do it if the didn't help me. I had a wells fargo all of the sudden not get me halves and I left them. Honestly its because they are lazy and its more work. We have these coins laying in vaults doing nothing and it doesn't hurt them to order. If they worry about the cost of shipping and such I would pay them for that. Not like they don't make plenty of money as it is.

I love the honesty.

The ladies at my bank love getting rid of the rolls of halves in the vault. I think someone hunts though, they're always grouped by date and no silver.

I too will also ship you some same with what rcook said. I have about $300 or so sitting in and box and I would love to move some instead of dumping at the banks.
