Thanks for all your nice comments. Am a stickler for uniformity, and hence GSA CCs across the board would be impossible since some of them have only one example ever found. Did think long and hard about that one. Am also considering upgrading some of the common dates so as to have as many DMPLs as possible. Then time to move on to next set ;-)

If you are able to fill your set of Morgan CC's in uniform condition then perhaps you should attempt to fill the entire Morgan set with the CC's as a subset. You have some of the best Morgans to collect already. A full date/mint set of Morgans in uniform condition would be quite an accomplishment. That would be a quest to take up the rest of your life. We can root from the sidelines and then someone can make you an offer you can't refuse ha, ha. You keeping these beauties in a safe place?

Awesome set I did some math I would guesstimate your collection being worth somewhere in the 75K-85K range...Definitely get it insured and in a heavy duty safe or bank vault. These coins will only go up in value cause they are Carson City coins and have a good history. Be safe with them.

Thank you, all.
Am roughly quarter of my way through a full Morgan collection. That will indeed take a lifetime to find the best examples at sensible prices. Also toying with the idea of starting an Africa gold coin collection.too many cool options around!

If you pick sets you have a decent chance of completing that helps a lot. Some of the most beautiful coins are just about impossible to fill a set because some are just unavailable unless you have millions of dollars to spend on your collection, and then you are competing with investors who don't give a darn about the coins except as a money maker. I think most of the American gold coins fit this category.
