This one is graded by PCGS. In hand it shows a nice cartwheel luster.

AU58. The reverse strike is particularly weak, but in a series known for weak strikes, that's not of any real importance. It's a very attractive Shield nickel and has great eye appeal!

I find it to be a very attractive coin.

Very high AU (58)to low Uncirculated (61).

AU-58, seems like just a touch of wear on the high points.

Either 58 or could very well be 63.

You guys are breaking my heart! I was excited about this coin but, alas,...

I was in my LCS with my 5-year-old, who was sorting through some circulated Buffaloes to add to his collection. I saw this in the display and took a look. I even let it sit and came back to it about 15 minutes later. As a coin straight in hand, I quite like it, but, I have to admit, under the camera's scrutiny, it looks a bit weak. I will just admire it from afar.

This is one type I have been very hesitant to buy raw because I can never seem to be sure of grade.

I think it's more the strike than actual wear. MS63 seems about right for an MS coin.
