I don't think the poster Kuh is taking shots at pacific, I think pacific can come across as a little pretentious, which never translates well in communications.

In words, a generation gap!! Jack also had to walk to school, uphill both ways!

This change won't impact me, my strongest buyers are US. In fact, it might benefit me if low margin sellers list their error coins for sale/shipping in Canada only - I won't have to bid against buyers backed by a strong US dollar

(Using my Jedi mind tricks)

You will list your errors coins on ebay, like this one...

Am I wrong to think that using HA or TCNC auction sites may be a better idea if all these increased fees are inching up to be on par with them?

Macdon trouble is the exposure you get on ebay is the big difference. With coin auctions you are only getting a numismatically targeted market. It takes quite awhile to get paid as well. Whereas with PayPal your ebay sales are paid for in a much quicker fashion. Another point to look at is that quite a few lots in coin auctions end up getting no better than wholesale prices anyways.
Selling to dealers is another option, but sadly that too will not realize an optimal result. Saw Joe at JandM a few weeks before Christmas and asked what he would pay for large lots of certified coins. He said 45 per cent if he had to.
Another option that a lot of smart collectors do, is try taking a table or two at some coin shows or markets and try their luck.
Certainly an excellent way to improve networking and you never know. You might enjoy it and become a vest pocket dealer.
Stay optimistic ! Cheers.

I agree Pac! LOL .... He certainly could stir the waters... but also had some nice pieces he did show...

Funny I'm thinking of starting to sell some of my stuff on ebay... and just reading through all the information to be a seller on ebay. The cost of doing business is acceptable in my opinion. Easy to move, always will get EXACTLY fair market value and hopefully I won't deal with many problem buyers. I find that locally it's hard to move some of my very common items.. hopefully ebay it will be easier.
