I am not sure if they started or ended at $500 and $850, that is the price I can see online, either that or someone got a real good deal on a 2 1967 gold sets at $600 each.

This is what happens to small localized auctions, very little awareness.

Able auctions has lots of awareness, almost every major dealer in Vancouver and Langley bid on this stuff. Hardly a country auction. Also there is a 17 per cent buyers premium and 12 per cent tax on top of the hammer price.
The 1970 Specimen set and a bunch of the US dollars were very nice.

Able has been around for a long time, when we where kids we would work (on call) for Maynards auctions helping set up. I miss the 60s..

Pennyman: If you are/were like I was, I'm not sure how much of the 60's that I really remember. I was in college before '64.

Pennyman: I'm much like you, but DO remember the late 40's and early 50's. And you are so right .. I remember those times better than what I did or was busy with even this morning. Ain't getting old fun?
