Any comments on possible grade would be appreciated. The VDB looks weak. Is this a sign of a late die state? Thanks.

The obverse may have an old cleaning, it looks dull to me but the reverse looks nice, I can see cartwheel spokes/luster.

63

The VDB is shallow on the die, it fills with grease and wears quicker than the other design elements. It cannot be used to judge the die state. The coin appears to be a mid-die state based on the EPU, you can see a little thickening and slight migration toward the rim.

Agree 63 with possible old obverse cleaning.

The reverse is very nice, may have been in a folder to give the obverse a cleaned look.

I was guessing MS-63 before reading the other posts, but I didn't catch the cleaning on the obverse, it just looks a little duller than the very nice reverse.

Looks unc for sure, maybe a ms 63. What's under Lincoln's chin? Looks like a clash?
