Here is another nice but error cent. Need help with grade, value and names of errors and possibly percentage you think it is Off. The reverse is also slightly off center (need the name MAD?) Also, the date is crooked compared to the Liberty - how does that happen? Also on the reverse a little more ghosting? Thank you very much.

Not being sarcastic, if this Cent found its way in my pocket, I would spend it... Kind of reminds me what I'm seeing posted on ebay...

Looks like a normal cent with a very minor MAD obverse. You should try using a gray background not black. John1

There simply isn't enough different from a normal cent to give this any special value. If you like it, keep it, but it's just a cent.

If one is that way, then all of them will be the same way. They are from the same master die. So there could be no difference of one coin looking different.

Well, so much for that.
I really thought I good error coin (at least 5 to 10 dollars worth). When I saw how close to the edge the devices were at the top and the date going up on an angle that it meant a better premium for double errors.
The coin itself is really nice and my magnifier camera doesn't pick up on that - but I was hoping for a VG rating of some kind. I have others from these dates and they don't have these things going on with them.
Just goes to show how little I know, LOL.

The 1968 coins shows the rolling towards the edge the strongest. They replaced the master hub in 1969 and this eliminated the problem.

Did a couple of new pictures with the gray background. Looks better. So how about a grade? Then does the VLDS cause the date to be punched on an angle like that as well? Thank you for all your help and replies.

Not good at grading so I won't. VLDS would not "angle" the date. I think it's normal for the year. John1

Thanks John1 - Yes, I actually just pulled all my 1966's the date is pretty much on an angle for that year.
So, for all this I have a slight MAD obverse and hopefully a VG rating of some kind (help still needed with this please).
thank you

No pro at grading either but I would say VF not VG either way is not gonna add any value to this coin in my opinion-

CoinCents, Are your pics done with a camera or a scanner? John1

I would grade it VF-30. I see no detail on the steps. Hair separation is partial and the jaw line is blurring.

Thank you for your assistance.
John1, I use a USB magnifier camera that hooks to my PC. It unfortunately is one of the cheaper models (all I could afford).
Pete, thanks for the help on the rating. I was reading yesterday on how to do grades and most grading is determined by using the eye piece scope at 7 to 10 times.
My problem is that with my poor vision I can't see anything at that level of magnification. That is why I needed help. (I know it doesn't matter now but)
I appreciate everyone for all their time.
