Hello!

I normally post in another section because I happen to live north of the 49th parallel. ;)

I have recently stepped up my fledgling American coin collection, and after a couple visits to state-side book stores, I ended up with the Warman folders (I realize that they are less than perfect, but I think their presentation is alot nicer than the Whitman folders).

I now am slightly shifting gears, and am now looking to find a coin folder for indian head pennies;
Can anyone tell me (to save me an exhaustive google search) what options I have?
Is Whitman the only company to make an Indian Head penny folder?

I have a hunch that I'm going to have to convert to the (less attractive) Whitman folders if I want to have the same size/look for my American currency collection - which is unfortunate considering all the Warman folders I've already purchased...

(edit)
Also, I notice that Whitman offers what appears to be two lines of Lincoln Penny books; one has a brown printed cover, the other has a blue plain cover - what's the difference?
(and are these two lines offered for other denominations?)

Warman - http://www.shopnumismaster.com/brow...-coin-folder
Whitman - https://www.whitman.com/store/Inven...Coin-Folders

Thanks sincerely, in advance to any assistance that can be offered.
:D

I think the blue ones are folders and the brown are albums.
For nicer grade coins go with an album. For lower grade coins a folder will do. The best album is a Dansco.

As John mentioned, the Dansco albums are most popular for 'more valuable' collections. They do display beautifully.

Actually, the blue vs brown print on the Whitman folders. Here's the scoop: there is no difference.

Whitman prints brown "inlay" on some, and silver on others. Personally, my IHC and 1909-1940 both have the "brown" inlay while the other two have the silver. It looks like they have brown on the later lincoln folders now too. Hmm..

I know there is no difference, but just a friendly reminder to make sure your next folder starts where the last one ends because on their site it looks like they have some that 1975-2013 but others that go 1959-1998.

Good luck on your collecting.

thank you very much!

I from my current warman collection, because of overlap ect, I actually have three Lincoln Penny folders - I really like hte presentation & quality of the Warman books, but the lack of common quarter books is annoying, and no IHC book is the death blow...

Indian-Head-Books?

I do have one brown Whitman book, that I bought for my nephew, it's a more modern book (1975-2013), and I have been trying to collect the years/mint marks within that book to gift him it as a puzzle of sorts (I bought it before we pulled the penny from circulation, so I would often come across USA pennies in my change).

There are plenty of used Whitmans, Danscos, and older Library of Coins as well to be found on ebay, often in good shape and quite a bit less expensive than buying new.
