Hello. I have been prowling around here for a long time just never registered tel now. I have looked everywhere I know to look for another example of this error but cant find anything. Has anyone seen a 9 in the D of a 1963 dime or any other year? I will scan it in tomorrow from work if there isn't a simple answer. The 9 looks just like this type set.

Dropped letter error? (Or in this case, number)

I tried everything I have to make this visible to you but just don't
have the necessary equipment. Give me another day to get what I need. It looks very cool and I want everyone to see it. Thanks Dan

What is a "tel"? Just kidding of course.
WELCOME TO THE COIN FORUM. As to your find I suspect it is just what is known as an RPM. It may appear as a 9 or some other letter or number but probably is just a RPM. Dimes are really a small commodity to find anything in the way of errors. And a 9 inside a D is really wild. Would need that lazer they use to insribe diamonds to do that. Try a really good magnifier on that thing.
