I have this quarter here. It seems undersized and it weighs 4.93 grams. I checked the interweb pretty extensively for country's that Canada minted coins for in 1979... Nothing matched up.
Is it possible for a blank to be .12grams underweight from the mint?
Also, looking at the rim on the reverse between 9:00-3:00, it is very thin looking. The Beads are almost right up to the edge of the coin.
I'm assuming some kind of PMD here but I'm looking for others opinions.

I want to say I read up to 5% somewhere, but don't quote me! Someone should clear this up because I'm not 100% sure. But 0.12 grams for a quarter is about 2.5% which I think is normal.
