The seller actually have few scarce Chinese coins with the same type of PGCS slabs, and all of the them have the same circles on the slabs

I can't guarantee that the slabs or coins are fake or real. However, the small circles are from ejector pins that push the plastic part out of the mold when it is made. All the real PCGS slabs have them, thus their existence alone does not indicate a counterfeit. Perhaps there are other diagnostics that someone can comment on. I find it more disturbing that the certification numbers are crossed out.

Quote:Compare slabs in question to those here that are known to be counterfeit: http://www.theblackcabinet.org/cate...abbed-coins/I think your slabs have a very high chance of being not genuine. 0xDA71D, What specifically should be looked at? I do not see anything specific with these slabs indicating that they match counterfeit slabs any more than they match the real ones. Again, I am not saying they are real, and I am suspicious, but before declaring something as counterfeit, we must be very careful to identify specifics. Identifying the specifics also helps all of us learn.

someone with a feedback of three, selling a coin for over $500.00 with the slab number blacked out. Which part of that doesn't scream, 'scam' to you?

Quote: Which part of that doesn't scream, 'scam' to you? Essentially all of it screams 'scam' to me. I would not bid on these myself at all. However, the original question related to diagnostic features on the slab. Are there diagnostic features on these slabs that identify them as fake? If so, what are they? Let's try to help the OP and all learn something in the process.
