The obverse gives it away as fake. Look at the border at 9:00 to 12:00. The body of the dentils should not disappear like that.

The obverse has a grainy cast look, arms and head especially. Reverse rim shows casting sprue at 10 o'clock.

What is the weight? A real Trade dollar weighs 27.2 grams.

Unfortunately we don't have a weighing at this moment. We don't know how heavy it is.

@Imthealphaomega : Why do you think it's fake ? Just wondering.

Thank you.

I say fake. The denticles on the obverse are completely wrong and the details throughout the coin on both sides seem off. Check PCGS photograde to compare for yourself. Hope you didn't spend much on it.

As stated denticles looks off and overall appearance just seems off...I am by far no expert on Trade dollars but I know enough to tell its not real....Trade dollars are among the most counterfeited coins out there. Especially a lot of Chinese fakes that are getting better and harder to identify as real.
Rest in Peace

No weight necessary. It's not even a good fake. Lots of tell tale problems as have been mentioned already.

Here's one from my collection. Note the sharp denticles (and disregard the rim filing between one and two o'clock). PG

I agree that this coin looks fake. As with the others the
denticles look off. And .. to me the mint mark "CC" looks
smaller than it should be.

Would be able to tell more if I had the coin in hand,

For Trade dollars it is very important to weigh them,
and of course check with a magnet. And check to make sure
it has the correct silver (fine)
