Oh no. Were you able to pay for the coin I sent you COD ?
Is the coin at least made out of real gold ? Most good counterfeits are made of gold because it is very different in weight from other metals.
Can you post a pic of this bogus coin ? I have been a victim of these counterfeits before. Fake 1911D Indain Half Eagle. Took a old veteran NGC dealer with a keen eye to spot it. It was made from real gold. Luckily, I filed with Paypal and got my money back.

I'm sorry To here about the situation you are in. I believe just about everyone here has been had at least once or maybe twice. My suggestion just short of selling your coin sets. Find a good pawn shop and pawn all that is not needed in your possession. If you don't return to claim it's no big deal because it's not more important than the situation you're in.

I'm a little confused by this entire situation. If your marrage is on the rocks over one mistake, something else is wrong with this picture. Take it from someone that has been through several marrages, something else is wrong somewhere. As to a solution, dump all the coins you have and start over completely. Unless you are as old as me, there is always a tomorrow so starting over could be a lesson worth the situation. Turn your shop into a hobby store next time and become versatile. Little by little spread out into other hobbies. If she is going to leave, then she leaves. I've been there, done that so I'm a little harsh on the subject but I'm now happier. The loss of something that was not ment to be is just that, something that was not ment to be.
Example: My first wife left me because she became excessively religious. That means she read about love they neighbor so she ran off with him.

I am speechless for a true solution but I have to tell you what I do in my business when I make a mistake on the purchase price. I figure out the real selling price, offer my salesman a minimal but fair commission to move it and I sell it at what it's worth. Then, I pursue something that will really make me (and my salesman) a decent profit. In other words, dump it and find something you can make money on. Then, don't do it again! This is a lesson you will have to learn more than once but when it takes, it takes :)
