I'm not very knowledgeable in this series but I'll say AU-53. Hope the little patch of green above liberty on the obverse isn't going to be a problem. Overall a very pleasing coin to look at.

Solid 55. Thank you for saving this little beauty from extinction, and congratulations on a prize found.

I'd say AU-53 in my book. I'm curious to know if there was more green spots on it when you originally dug it up, and if you soaked it in "verdicare" or some cleaning solution? It looks otherwise in fantastic shape given its age; you might've dug up a treasure sunk a century ago!

The area it was dug in was the same area I found the 1891 Morgan silver dollar in about 25 yards from the morgan, This was 6 inches down rang up a solid 83 on my AT pro, It is an old park. All I did to clean it was hot water and tooth brush, I did not know I had this till I arrived home and cleaned it. I dont clean any coins in the fields no rubbing any coins.

I'd give up the tooth brush. Especially with silver coins, if you just let them soak for a bit and rinse then rinse again in distilled water you will get the vast majority of the encrusted dirt off without any worry about scratching the surfaces.
As I'm sure you know - the silver is easy to 'clean' without much effort. Most of the time they come out of the ground in almost the same condition as when they were dropped.
