My records indicate this seller sold this exact coin on DEC-06-2016 for $600.00 ( 361439575979). I couldn't quickly find a feedback on that item. One could presume it was sent back because it is a fake. If that is true, then the seller may know or should highly suspect it is a fake.

Looks like he took it down. A bit surprised that he would relist it knowing it's fake. I've bought coins from him before, and know him to be a righteous seller, but anything's possible. At least it's down for now.

Seller removed "This listing was ended by the seller because there was an error in the listing."

It's back again.... 361465894880This time with the following text: There was some question regarding the authenticity of this coin, so I thought I would relist it with clearer photos. The coin is a mint mark obverse location 1, the S is in the farthest left location relative to the date, and is in my opinion, in the proper location. There does appear to have been some cleaning around the mintmark, for reasons unknown to me, but the mint mark looks correct to me. The reverse looks authentic, as well, the VDB, although worn, mostly in the D and B, is located in the correct place, is spaced properly, etc. Please bid accordingly, I believe the coin to be genuine, if you should win the coin and are not happy with it, it can be returned for a refund.

Hello nss-52, I have bought coins from this ebay seller and have found him to be a honest seller. I contacted the seller and suggested he review the objections about the 1909-s vdb cent and post better photos if that would help resolve the questions. Do the new listing close-up photos of the date/mm & vdb on reverse still indicate a problem with the coin? Thanks

Do the new listing close-up photos of the date/mm & vdb on reverse still indicate a problem with the coin? Yes, even more so. I reported it. Let's see...

The mint mark is the wrong shape - no genuine San Francisco mint coin of that year had a mint mark that shape.
