Does anyone else remember....... I recall prior to the launch of Global Shipping that items listed by US sellers who didn't ship to Canada did not appear on ebay.ca. That's because I recall looking at an item on ebay.com, realizing I was on the US site, not locating the same item on ebay.ca, trying to figure out why, then noticing the seller only shipped within the US. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Otherwise now with Global Shipping, like the cost or not, the door has been opened for us to buy from virtually all US sellers since items through that program can be conveniently shipped to Canada on their behalf. We can take it or leave it.

when it went to the sorting facility they opened it to check it and destroyed the inner box which was a big part of its value

Items shipped from the US still have to pass through Canadian Customs. At that point parcels and packages may also be opened by Custom Agents to verify the contents.
