I got a 1992 (nice condition) with the same lines both sides. I thought as well that it was considered the plating which people have told be is "zinc rot". coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 01/12/2016 9:44 pm There looks like evidence of two things going on with this coin. 1. Stock metal rolling. This sometimes does not flatten even after a full strike. Note how they are on this fields and across the tops of the devices? 2. Die scratches. Note o the 12:00 to 4:00 area of the obverse. Note the lines on the date and TRUST areas. Note how they flow behind the devices? So the die was polished with heavy die scratches and there is evidence of rolling lines on both sides.
