Please elaborate on details, IndianGoldEagle. Are you referring to rim damage?

This is the first, and now the last, of the 20 threads you just posted that I will comment on. XF details cleaned. Maybe NGC would straight-grade it, but I'd never buy it for problem-free money, the coin was clearly cleaned at some point and has since retoned.

Best of luck with the submission.

I have several hundred coins I'm considering submitting, and the purpose of these posts was to get honest opinions. If you believe this one to be cleaned and retoned, I certainly take your opinion into consideration, as you may very well be right. It's the reason I've asked.

Got to say it looks OK and most atractive to me. I'd say AU-55 straight.

AU details. IMHO, Its got too many surface marks and a couple of deep digs. It is very soft and mushy looking; sure signs of a cleaning that have damaged the original surfaces.

I like the coin, but I think they would give it a "details" grade

XF-45 details, looks like an old cleaning and it is slowly retoning, has not made it to the center of the coin yet, just from the rim inward a little.

I am not sure about it getting a Details grade, but it looks AU-50 to me.

Can't tell what the surfaces look like due to the glare, but I'll say AU-50 minimum, likely problem-free.

I gave this one a details grade because of the rim issues and it appears to have been cleaned.
