NotSoAverageJo ... congratulations on this find ... I concur that it is indeed a 1998 WAM variety LMC. That said ... a single (good) photograph of both the obverse and reverse are all we need to offer our opinions ... take your time and give us the best (single) photos you can manage as your skills develop. Your 1998 WAM is very well preserved ... MS something by what I can see. I'll allow the experts to opine on grade. David

Oh I hope it's Mint State.
What should I do with it? Bring to my local coin shop, or something else? I do not yet have any Mylar flaps to store it in....and I want to preserve it the best way that I can.
I was going to sell it but I've decided to keep it for my son, who was born in 1998.

I'm pretty stoked tbh. I didn't think that I would get something like this so quickly from CRH'ing!

Great find! Going to send it off for grading?
I was going to ask if you were selling, but saw the post saying you were keeping it. I've gotta keep a better eye out for these!

ElonU - send it to PCGS? Or elsewhere?

I personally like NGC, as I like the aesthetics with the coin in negative space versus in a totally clear holder. I'm sure most would say PCGS.

What are 98 WAM's worth today? I doubt it would be worth sending in for slabbing. A 99 sure, but a 98 or 2000 I don't think so.

Conder101 - that's a great Q. Google told me that it's worth up to $75 depending on its condition.
@Rackster, YAY!! I was soooo excited! That day I stayed up for like 39 hours. This not sleeping is for the birds.
