A friend of mine sent this Thomas Jefferson coin cover to NGC for grading and it came back as shown. Does this happens often at NGC?

So what is the problem? I suppose someone at that place just didn't like Jefferson so they labled it with a more prominent president. Of course I'm not sure what Jefferson really looked like from all those attempts on the Nickel so possibly NGC didn't know the difference either.
All just kidding but if I were you I'd keep that. Things like that occationally make money for people. Who knows what someone on ebay would pay for that.

I agree. I bet it sells at a premium on ebay.

The really scary thing is that it also passed "quality control".

Makes you wonder what else slipped by....or if there really is a QC.

Do you know how many of those they see in a day? I bet after a while it all turns into a blur or yours was done right before everyone got off work.
