I think your question is worded backwards. How about this: "How fast do you guys think gold will reach its real intrinsic value when this fiat currency inflates?"
And it is nearly impossible to establish an intrinsic value for gold when is has so few real world uses. Now to answer your question, inflation happens when too much money chases too few goods/services and we're nowhere near that point as witnessed by the low inflation experienced over the last few years. I do think gold will reach $2000 by 2020 but that won't have much to do with inflation in the USD.
