Hello, I was looking through my collection when I found a Johnston Stone Australian $1 note that would appear to be uncirculated with no creases in my folder that I had forgotten about.
I was wondering if anyone could tell me how much it is worth and how to find out for myself next time. Regards Dan.
The website listed below is pretty handy for information regarding notes and does have some information regarding sales.
The note prefix is important. If a note is a first or last prefix it attracts a premium compared to general prefixes.
Looking at the sold listings on ebay will also give you some pretty up to minute idea of what a note is worth (naturally the volume of sales can depend on the rarity of individual notes).
Mine is just a normal DHK 114733, nothing special sadly. But in it's condition (according to the site that you have me) it will be worth about $10. It's a good price but not great. Thx for the help. Regards Dan
