Traded an NGC MS-65 1883-O Morgan dollar for the following:

NGC MS-64 1913 Type I Buffalo 5c
PCGS MS-64 1913 Type II Buffalo 5c
Raw Uncirculated 1938 Mercury 10c
1978 Proof Set
2 1980 Proof Sets
1982 Proof Set
Stack of "Dollar" flips

Seems like a pretty even trade at the time, but hoping I am right.. Thank you for opinions.. just having fun ;)

The art of a deal is if both parties leave happy so if you are happy I'd say it's a good deal.

That is a good way of looking at it. Sometimes I feel like I got too great of a deal, but if the other party is happy, then I guess it works out well ;) Thank you for your opinion!

Thank you! I forgot I did spend $15 also, so add that to the 1883-O... so I hope that is still fair. I had fun either way, and have many more coins than one to look at. Gave one of the 1980 Proof sets to me son and he seems to enjoy it even at his very young collecting age.

I think you did well even if you had retail money into all of your trades. What makes it sweeter is if you had some as a result of another deal and/or didn't care about them. I find doing trades more exciting than straight out cash for merchandise.

If you were able to share part of your trade with your son and he enjoys it then that adds a little more to your side of the trade.

Sounds like a wonderful exchange. The Buffs in particular are wonderful items. Getting your son involved is a super bonus.

Thanks all for the opinions! My son is only 3 1/2, but I give him coins all the time, and he does seem to enjoy them a lot. He has modern proof coins, but this is his first proof set. We will see how things turn out before he gets more valuable items ;)
