I just received my order from GAtewest Coins of 3 silver dollars. I bought these during their last sale. I picked up 1988 for $12.95 2012 for $69.95, and 2015 enamel poppy for $56.95. I'm very happy with my purchase. The star of course is the Enamel Poppy dollar, it's absolutely stunning. Especially how the shade of red enamel changes with the lighting. I will upload photos when I figure it out again. I tried the optimizer, it didn't work.
I thought this would be a great opportunity to show off our new purchases. They have a thread for circulation coins. So let the boasting begin!!

Quote: I will upload photos when I figure it out again. I tried the optimizer, it didn't work. easiest way to upload: 1. Take the picture with your mobile phone (for the coin it is enough). 2. With any software, "resize" the picture till it will be under 200KB (i think, this is the limit here) 3. Upload picture here in 3 cicks (nothing extra needed) Congrats for the Silver Dollars. Enameled one specially. My recent - January NCLT purchase: RCM 2016 1/2oz Daytona Fine Silver Medallion (just ordered couple of days ago, so no pictures). Imo, nicely done, not expensive at all, and I am crazy about the cars (but do not collect them) Changed my mind, and with the help of my kid, took the picture, that Medallion represents.

@ Commems thanks, I spent an hr, trying to resize on my iPhone, I finally gave up. I've added photos before with no issues. I was thinking it was me, as I don't add photos often enough to remember the steps I use. The Poppy is just stunning, the enamel. @ Silveroid I will add pics soon as I get it working. The frosting is rather disappointing, it seems more grey than white. What is your assessment. Slowly I am adding to my silver dollars. I am struggling whether to add the 2014 special edition, women riveter dollar, I don't like the subject. I would need a very good deal to add it. I could do with more cheap poppy dollars. I find the details on the king don't really standout. The ear, moustache, beard are very muted. They sort of blend into the rest of the coin. They could of used more different finishes to make details crisp.

St Helena Tercentenary 25 Pence toned and very slightly impaired sterling silver proof. 10,000 minted. 0.84 ASW.
I bought it for U.S.$7, about six months ago. I did reasonably well on that one!
It resides in my junk silver stash.

Just purchased a 2013 $5 Piedfort (25th Anniversary) high relief coin. I know Maple Leaf has been done to death but I find a certain aesthetic simplicity to them that is appealing so I'll be somewhat selective about the Maples I go after. Getting it at significantly lower than issue price is a nice touch too.

@Silveroid those cars are cool I didn't know they existed. I wish my kid was that age again, it was fun times!! @Agent the 25th pîedfort maple is a stunning coin, I enjoy mine. Congrats on your purchase . Tomorrow I will up load pics of my silver dollars. I had forgot, as I was playing with my GITD moonlight wolf 2 oz coin, photos in dedicated thread.

Somehow the optimizer isn't working for my Poppy or Calgary dollar. I'm following the same steps as for this 1988 dollar. The queens effigy is one of my favorite. I hope we get a classic crowned effigy later this year. I guess tomorrow is another day to try.

I dont have yet it but I bought the 2015 Back to the Future Delorean Silver coin and car set, won it at auction.
:D ... I fell for the gimmick, the blue lights and the car. Plus our esteemed and most helpful Silveroid was talking about it in several threads and a few other members I talk with as well so that got my gears going. I started, after NOT wanting to pay attention to it, to secondary market prices.
I did enjoy the movies, liked them very much, so this coin fit my interests. Just, it sucked me in. Clearly tho, the market has done well on the secondary market.

@Yup, I am so surprised, so not your style . I never thought you'd fall prey to a gimmick. I do think it will at minimum hold its issue price, and you probably had some savings buying in USD. Make sure you don't cause an elephant stampede, when you added it to your collection. Congrats, you must post an image when it arrives. I am sure it will be great fun.

I bought this one on sale at CA for 50% off. Such a nice set, I have 4 of 7 and am looking for the box as well. Nice to get a 1 ounce coin that I like for $44. I can wait for the rest.

I happened to visit an out of the way antique store last weekend. It was a very interesting shop, more like a museum actually, very old things, very pleasant shop keeper. After spending quite a bit of time looking at things I began to feel a tad guilty that there was absolutely nothing that I was interested in buying. Then I noticed a 1998 125th anniversary RCMP BU silver dollar coin under the glass display counter for $30 that I didn't already have. The original cardboard cover just like new, reasonable price, home with me it came....
