Any comments welcome. Bought this today. Grade, originality, eye appeal? I don't have many of these but I really like them.

Even though the shield is a little weak, the reverse carries it to vf25 imo. Very nice and original imo.

I agree with VF25 and very good eye appeal. It looks completely original and is a nice piece to enjoy raw since it's obviously authentic.

Wonderful eye appeal
That is what a never cleaned original 19th century well circulated silver coin should look like
Newer hobbyists should take note

The only thing holding it back from a 30 is the slightly weak shield on the obverse, but the coin itself is impressive and lovely. As has been mentioned, this is the personification of what a beautiful circulation cameo should look like. A coin that would be fought over when sold.

Hey all, thanks for the comments!! I loved the look of this one and had to have it! I was hoping to not see any F-15 votes due to the shield. I have it at VF-20-25 also. The series is under rated IMO.

VF30, and a great circulated example of a very scarce series. This would look awesome in a 7070.
