Came across this picture, it looks really wild. If it is a coin, I'd love to know more about it (when, designer, denomination, etc.).

It looks like a print from a pre-1900 book or newspaper.

thanks TypeCoin971793! That makes sense, as there is a lot of detail there, maybe too much for a coin. Though it does seem very reminiscent of early US mint engraver John Reich's work (reverse of capped bust designs).
