Hello, folks!

I run an instagram account where I post artistic and interesting photos of coins and currency every day. So far, I've just been using my Samsumg Galaxy S5 default camera (16 megapixels). It's not powerful enough to produce high-quality macro photos, but does a good enough job capturing overall detail for the enjoyment of my audience. I would like to ask you folks if you have any advice, tips, or knowledge of products such as special lenses that can be applied to smartphones in order to take better macro photos?

I'd like to share a gallery of photos on my website for you to check out, but will respect the forum guidelines and not post a direct URL until I've reached 50 posts, which should be by tomorrow

Any help is much appreciated!

I take all of my pics using an LG smartphone. (I don't know the model) I get compliments all of the time, and people ask how I get my pics!
Experiment with lighting and angles, you will find that you can get great results with a smartphone. Many smartphones also have a voice activated shutter button. That can help minimize movement of the camera for better shots.
I don't doubt that better equipment would provide better results, but on my budget I am quite happy with this solution.

The Leuchtturm Phonescope 60X Macro Lens works like a charm on a Samsung phone.
