$30 bucks for a "medallion" - this will get you 2 oz silver which will appreciate in value

From a bullion point of view, this item is short on silver for the price.
Down track years later, it may still pull $20 on the 'Bay.

However, that is not a problem if you are an 'out and out' Daytona fan!

30,000 is pretty high mintage for Canada. "Celebrate the New Stadium Opening".......wonder if it's going to be sold on site in Daytona and is another commissioned release.

I think, commissioned for sure.
This is the medallion, and not the coin. Although RCM minted some medallions as collectible, but not in this case.
And probably yes, will be sold on-site....due to low cost, looks like will be popular there. Will not be surprised, if will be also graded with "signature" on the slab.

I wonder why they decrease it to half oz, down from a full oz. They must be thinking of a US audience with that high a mintage.

Yes, you probably right, Pocket_Change.

And looks like, the 1/2oz much more affordable as souvenir, or buy-n-gift item.

I like the overview.
It reminds me the famous Disney Pixar animation movie, and we collect the racers with my kid. So I find the design / price worthy for me.

They nailed it on the price point! Too bad the other collector coins are so overpriced. I would add more if the prices were more affordable. The Library of parliament is just outrageous at $169. Sometimes I wonder if the mint comes out with new innovations, just to raise the prices of its coins.
