I was wondering. Can lighting effect images when photographed with Digital Micro. The die damage above the 6 in date remains fairly consistent yet different angles indicate doubling in date yet without shadowing
Any thoughts? Thx

The 96 looks like a worn die to me not a doubled die.

Canacoins, yes I think lighting indeed can effect images particularly on coins that are brilliant in lustre. I know from my own experiences using a Digital Microscope, doubling might be there one minute but is gone the next and so it was merely an illusion caused by the LED mirroring a reflection of the raised points. Therefore I always attempt viewing at an exact 180 degree angle to minimize distortion and that's somewhat helpful, then verification from numerous different angles.

I'm not as pleased with my Digital Microscope as I thought I would be.
