NGC - Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC) will attribute the mint of origin on the NGC certification label, if requested, for 2016 Monkey Bi-Metallic ¥10 coins that are received by NGC in the sealed Mint box.
These popular coins are struck at the Shanghai and Shenyang Mints. The mints seal five rolls, each containing 50 coins, in a brown box that is then imprinted in Chinese and English with either Shanghai Mint Co., Ltd., or Shenyang Mint Co., Ltd.
2016 Monkey Bi-Metallic ¥10 coins that are received by NGC in these sealed Mint boxes will be labeled as "2016(S) STRUCK AT SHANGHAI MINT" or "2016(Y) STRUCK AT SHENYANG MINT," as applicable, if requested by the submitter. The "S" and "Y" mintmarks will appear in parentheses on the NGC certification label to indicate that the mintmark is not present on the coins.

To have the Mint location attributed on the NGC certification label, special submission instructions must be followed:
Submission Instructions
The coins must be received in the original, sealed Mint boxes, to have the Mint attributed.

Due to the special handling required, coins submitted for NGC's "First Day of Issue" designation will not have the mint location attributed. Only qualifying coins submitted for "Early Releases," "First Releases" or no special designation may have the mint location attributed.

Write "Attribute Mint Location" along with the mint name ("Shanghai" or "Shenyang") in bold letters on the NGC Submission Form.

Any additional requests, such as "Early Releases," "First Releases" or a special label, must also be written in bold on the NGC Submission Form.

There is no additional charge for the Mint attribution.

The Mint attribution is optional and available only if requested for qualifying coins.

The default coin description will not have the mint location.
