Its appearance is silver in color with slight brown undertones. The composition is int he E-Bay description. It could be bronze with a 1% nickel addition. Its interesting that so little nickel made this specimen look like darkly toned silver. I tried with the scanner but just can not duplicate even close its real appearance. As with Davignon CC Bust Halves sometimes it does not take much nickel to achieve that silver looking effect. Its unusual tin was substituted for zinc ... before the analysis I thought it was just a darkly toned German silver issue due to its low weight.
