First off, nice find especially at melt value! Looks like a nice coin, and they tend to come in semi-PL up to DMPL, with later die states (after semi-PL) being a little more difficult to find in my experience. Sure is a neat variety with all of those DIs ;)

I believe that "gouge" may be a hub defect as it is seen on a few varieties with no relation that I am aware of. I can't remember off hand which VAMs exhibit this other than one of the VAM-1 die pairs I call "chipped T" due to the die chip in the bottom of the T of LIBERTY.

There are three listed on ebay right now. Two raw unc for under $60, and a 64DMPL for $400. Some sellers tend to put a premium on these, but I don't believe they should carry any due to how available they really are. I think I paid $90 for a 62PL a couple years back. A good way to find out is to throw it on ebay as a no reserve auction and see where it lands. "worth what someone is willing to pay."

Rest in Peace

To be more precise, it was an ANACS 62 PL with VAM-2 attribution on holder. Looks close to DM to me, so I think I got a great price even though most coin enthusiasts tend to prefer PCGS and NGC. VAM weenies a lot of the time favor ANACS for their great attribution skills, tough grading and amazing service. You can really find some great coins in ANACS holders that would grade higher at other TPGs. ANACS 64 tend to be really nice in my experience. Done with my rant.. ;)
