Uploaded several Elymaean drachms to my Forum gallery tonight, and thought I'd share two of the more interesting ones here:

A-Couple-New-Elymaean-Drachms
Prince A
AE drachm, late 2nd to early 3rd century AD
Van't Haaff 19.1.1-1A
Obv: Bust facing left, diademed, with hair tuft at back of head
Rev: Artemis standing right, holding bow in one hand, plucking arrow from her quiver with the other hand

A-Couple-New-Elymaean-Drachms
Orodes IV
AE drachm, c. 2nd half of 2nd century AD
Van't Haaff 17.1.1-1c
Obv: Bust facing left, diademed, with large hair tuft on top and on side of head, flowing backward, Aramaic legend to left (cropped)
Rev: Bust of female left (Queen Ulfan? Artemis?), Aramaic legend, pellet border

As Chris said not the type I'm use to seeing either. They must be rarer than the usual type?

Thanks, all, for the supportive comments.

Yes, somewhat less common than other AE's from the Elymais Arsacid Dynasty, Ron. These are from the waning days (well, the waning decades, actually) of the kingdom - but they were still minted in decent numbers and are not too hard to come by. I got these two for a steal (around $30 ea.), and in nice shape for the type.
