Got some unknown coins in a lot I picked up. Mostly cast cash coins from Vietnam, so I am guess these might also be from Vietnam.

First one is a large coin.
Weight: 24 grams
Diameter: about 45 mm
Not sure of the composition, maybe a bronze or tin alloy.

Unknown-Asian-Coins.

Second one has a small chip in it.
About 2 cm in size. Some faint marks on the reverse I can't make out.

No idea about the first one, it's probably a charm, but the second is Quang Trung Thong Bao 1786-91.

The first one is a Chinese Margie token.

I see there is a greyhound born in 2005 named Margie's Token, but beyond that I don't see anything about Chinese Margie tokens. Can you point me to more info?

That looks like it is right: http://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces31485.html I am going to guess it is KM#141.3 Four crescents, tips inward, as I see one crescent on the bottom of mine.

So, I stumbled onto this link: http://art-hanoi.com/toda/19.html

Quote:
No. 210. (Barker: 209.1-209.2)
Obverse: Same as No. 209, the design on the rim varying a little.
Reverse: A dragon and a fish. Yellow copper.

The coins numbered 202 to 210 were issued by the rebel #38446;#25991;#32408; NGUYEN VAN-TOAN (1791-1800). Nos. 209 and 210 were cast for the purpose of being given away as medals.

No. 210 looks a lot like the first one....

Is your Quang Trung the copper or zinc variety, out of curiosity?

It is the copper variety. I have two other zinc Vietnam coins, they make a dull sound when they are rolled on the table, this one is more crisp.

No other thoughts on the large coin anyone?
